A miss is an alarm. A file that arrived still has to pass the [promotion gate](/blog/glue-data-quality-before-lakehouse-promotion/) before a curated table moves.

## Stop

- Polling Kinesis for a nightly file.
- Retrying the producer from this Lambda. Retry is the source system's job. This function only detects.
