Tell us your daily AWS usage

For each service you're using, enter your daily usage. We'll calculate when your free tier runs out.

Which free tier is your account on?

Created on or after 15 July 2025: you get $100 in credits at sign-up plus up to $100 more for completing activities. The Free plan lasts 6 months or until the credits run out, whichever comes first, and you are not billed unless you upgrade to a Paid plan. Always Free offers (such as 1M Lambda requests a month) still apply. The hourly limits below do not apply to you: watch your credit balance instead.

Created before 15 July 2025: the limits below (750 hours a month of EC2 and RDS for 12 months, and so on) are the legacy 12-month free tier this calculator models.

hours (free: 750/month = 25/day)
(free: 1M/month = 33k/day)
GB (free: 5 GB)
(free: 20k/month)
hours (free: 750/month = 25/day)
GB (free: 20 GB/month)
GB (free: 100 GB/month, all accounts)

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does free tier last?

It depends on when you created the account. Accounts created on or after 15 July 2025 get $100 in credits at sign-up plus up to $100 more for completing activities; the Free plan ends after 6 months or when the credits run out, whichever comes first. Accounts created before 15 July 2025 keep the legacy 12-month free tier (750 hours a month of EC2 and RDS, and so on). Always Free offers such as 1M Lambda requests a month apply to both.

Does this calculator work for accounts created after 15 July 2025?

Only partly. The hour- and GB-based limits model the legacy 12-month free tier. On the newer Free plan, usage draws down your credit balance instead, so track your remaining credits in the Billing console.

What if usage is variable?

Use peak or average daily usage to model worst case.

How can I reduce my bill?

Budget alerts, anomaly detection, and scheduled stop/start for dev resources.
